Those of us at theAgency refer to Margot Stewart as our Social Media guru. Her fascination with “new media” such as Facebook, Linked In, Twitter, websites, blogging and podcasting was fueled by additional coursework at UCLA and is kept up-to-date with both personal and professional participation in all these vehicles. This skill set combined with her hobby of creative writing have added many new avenues for our clients, many of whom now have active presence in social media.
Over 20 years ago when Margot was pursuing her BS in American History and Political Science at Willamette University, she thought she was going to become an attorney, specifically a sports agent. Little did she realize that her minor in communications was actually going to be the foundation of a career in advertising and marketing. Margot’s experience includes an equal balance of agency and client-side account management both in the U.S. and abroad, giving her the added benefit of a global viewpoint.
Margot lives in Camarillo with her husband, three young children and two dogs. When she isn’t playing in social media, she hikes with her English Mastiff and children whenever she can. Life is never dull with a person-sized dog and three dog-sized people. |
